Common sense and a Creator

Please consider this.

Do common sense and creation fit together or are they diametrically opposed?

Both these lines of thought  seem to be hard to find these days, while we encourage education we seem to be discouraging the practice of common sense in our society today.

Young people are taught how to operate computers, how financially to run effective businesses and how to get ahead in life, yet it seems the practical application of reason and common sense is rare.

Example: Our sports professionals today are making millions of dollars and are successful in business financially, yet they are constantly getting in trouble with drugs and others crimes.

What does common sense say this is teaching our youth?

You can be a criminal and still be successful.

Common sense says when you allow criminals to be the heroes of a society success is not measured in our treatment of one another and contribution to society but rather in money and fame people begin to believe, no matter how I act I can pay my way out of it.

Common sense says this will ultimately destroy any society because a society without rules has no solid basis for unity or loyalty.

How do common sense and a Creator go together?

Is it sensible to say there is a Creator of all things we see around us?

Let’s just look at things that we make around us, my dad had a good word of wisdom on this subject when he said concerning working on mechanical things , There is an order to everything.

Anyone who works on machinery, from computers to cars knows, if you look for the order in which something is made you can then begin the process of repair.

If there is a design to something you can study that design and follow the process in which that thing works.

Then you can see ,what in that process is interrupted and begin repair.

The interesting thing about studying design is you can begin to see the thought process behind it and begin to see some of what was in the mind of its designer , such as the purpose of the design, what the product was made to do, why the designer put the product together the way they did, and the reliability of the product.

When we look at creation through the eyes of common sense we see an order.

The plants provide oxygen which we need to breath then the product of our breathing  returns to the plants something they need in order to survive.

It is the same with the food chain, we see a cycle, one creature may eat another for food but even the waste is then food for plants which in turn feed animals that are not carnivores.

When we look at an automobile we don’t see this kind of efficiency yet we say ,what a good job someone did building this car.

Scientists are constantly finding order as the rule in nature not disorder yet we don’t apply the common sense rule that says ,if order then design, and if design then purpose ,and if purpose then what is that purpose?

The Creator has an order and purpose to His creation if we just look for it with unprejudiced eyes.

We have copywrite laws to protect someone from having there design stolen or abused. We do this because we recognize the right of the designer and their right to own their design.

Yet if we hear that there is a creator who has a right to that which He has designed, we immediately reject the creator because we don’t like to think some one has authority or the right to tell His creation how it should be used.

Common sense says that we reject a revealed order because the thought of having someone who made that order.

Because if someone created he would expect His creation to recognize that order, and thus a Creator who has the right to own that creation.

Yet daily we are subject to design, the law of gravity for one, we expect it to be there and remain the same ,we live under it’s influence and control and don’t question if it has the right to keep us on the ground because it gives stability and safety even.

Common sense says there is order in creation, and if order then design, and if a design then a designer, and if a designer then on who has the rights to that design.

Have you considered this?

If you have or are now considering it I would be glad to discuss the creator with you, it turns out that the Creator ,not only made all things for a purpose but He has a purpose for you.
